We’ve reached the end of week nine. We want to share an honest update with you. The situation remains challenging. We are still waiting for the insurance company to take action before we can move forward with repairs. We understand this delay frustrates everyone. But we’re chasing progress actively. We’re doing everything in our power to push things along quickly. This insurance update matters to us and to you.
The insurance process can be lengthy and complex. When claims get submitted, assessors review the damage and approve necessary repairs. They appoint contractors before work can start on site. We’re currently waiting for the insurance company to sign off. Until they do, we cannot start the remedial work. We appreciate your patience it means everything to us.
Our team has remained dedicated throughout this challenge. Every single member of our staff is ready and eager. They can’t wait to get back behind the bar and in the kitchen. These past nine weeks have tested everyone, but our team is energized and excited about welcoming you back through our doors.
When we do reopen, we intend to hit the ground running. Full pub operations will resume, and we are particularly eager to get our food service back up and running. Our kitchen team are especially looking forward to serving home-cooked meals again from hearty lunches to evening dinners and recreating the warm, welcoming atmosphere that the Swan Inn is known for. We know many of you have been missing the food, and we cannot wait to get those plates out again.
