Swan Inn Function & Buffet Packages

Perfect for parties, wakes, family gatherings, and skittle alley events.

All prices listed below are inclusive of VAT.

Option 1: The Standard Buffet

£12.50 per head (Inc. VAT)

Simple, classic pub favourites. Ideal for low-key gatherings, wakes, or daytime events.

  • Assorted Sandwiches: Freshly made on white and brown farmhouse bread (e.g., Ham & Mustard, Tuna Mayo, Cheese & Pickle).
  • Sausage Rolls: Classic pork sausage rolls.
  • Savouries: Choice of traditional Lorraine or vegetarian quiche.
  • Sides: Seasoned potato wedges with dipping sauces.
  • Hot Drinks: Tea & Coffee jugs available to add at £15.00 per jug (Inc. VAT).

Option 2: The Pick & Mix Buffet

£16.50 per head (Inc. VAT)

Hearty, popular crowd-pleasers. Perfect for evening birthday parties and celebrations.

  • Everything included in Option 1
  • Chicken Goujons: Crispy breaded or southern-fried chicken strips.
  • Halloumi Bites: Or mozzarella sticks served with sweet chilli sauce.
  • Salads: House coleslaw and a mixed green garden salad.
  • Dessert: A platter of bite-sized chocolate brownie pieces.
  • Drinks Included: Unlimited tea & coffee jugs provided for your guests throughout.

Option 3: The Continental & Grazing Buffet

£21.50 per head (Inc. VAT)

A premium, visually impressive spread. Great for weddings, larger parties, and special occasions.

  • Everything included in Options 1 & 2
  • The Charcuterie Board: Platter of premium cured meats including Milano salami, sliced chorizo, and prosciutto ham.
  • The Cheese Board: Selection of British and continental cheeses (e.g., Mature Cheddar, Brie, and Stilton) served with crackers and chutney.
  • Breads & Nibbles: Warm ciabatta slices, crunchy breadsticks, mixed olives, and sun-dried tomatoes.
  • Premium Dessert: A mixed platter of mini cakes, tarts, and sweet treats.
  • Drinks Included: Unlimited tea & coffee jugs provided for your guests throughout.

Room Hire & Alternative Dining Options

  • Main Bar Menu Dining: If you prefer not to have a buffet, your group can choose to dine from our regular main bar menu. Please note that for groups of 10 or more guests, a full food pre-order is strictly required at least 7 days prior to your booking.
  • Standard Room Hire: Our private function space can be hired at a flat rate of £60.00 (Inc. VAT) per 4-hour slot.
  • FREE Room Hire Scheme: The standard 4-hour room hire fee is completely waived if your group’s total buffet food order comes to £300.00 (Inc. VAT) or more.
  • Early Morning Openings (Before 12:00 PM Noon): For morning meetings, breakfast events, or early wakes requiring access before midday, an out-of-hours staffing charge of £25.00 (Inc. VAT) per hour will apply to any hours utilized prior to 12:00 PM.

Booking Terms & Conditions

  • Minimum Group Size: Our buffet packages are available for bookings of 15 or more guests.
  • Deposits: A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your date.
  • Final Balance: Final guest numbers must be confirmed and the remaining balance paid in full 7 days prior to the event.
  • Cancellation Policy: We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the event will forfeit the 25% deposit. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event are strictly non-refundable to cover food prep and staffing costs.
  • Dietary Requirements: Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are happily available. Please notify us of any specific food allergies when confirming your final numbers.

Bring Your Own (BYO) Wine & Corkage Fees

If you wish to bring your own special selection of wine, sparkling wine, or Champagne to celebrate your function at Swan Inn, we are happy to accommodate this under our standard corkage policy.

What does our corkage fee cover?

Corkage is an industry-standard fee that allows us to accommodate outside beverages while maintaining our dedicated service quality. This fee covers full commercial chilling and storage of your bottles prior to arrival, the provision and setting of clean table glassware (wine glasses and flutes), professional table service by our staff during your event, and all subsequent glass clearing, professional washing, and breakages coverage.

* Please note: Corkage options apply strictly to wine and sparkling products. All spirits, beers, ciders, and soft drinks must be purchased directly from the main bar. All outside bottles must be handed to staff upon arrival.
